Borjomi is a resort town in south-central Georgia with a population of 10,546. It is one of the districts of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region.

Borjomi is a beautiful city in Georgia , known as the “hot springs”, located 150 kilometers west of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, in the Tori area.


Borjomi is one of the natural and virgin areas of Georgia , which mineral springs sprinkled to various countries, including the United States and EU countries, and have always welcomed tourists . This city was developed by  Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich of Russia in the 19th century as a hot water city. This region was known for its mineral water even during the Soviet Union, and its reputation is about 200 years old and has been procured from many mineral waters. Walking around the hills of this area is lovely recreation.


The spectacular views of the area include the National Museum of Natural History (Gargelli). It is a protected area in the small Caucasus region in the southwest of Tbilisi and one of the largest national parks in Europe. The park was established in 1995 and officially opened in 2001. In this park you can see a variety of plant and animal species and enjoy its beautiful scenery. What is worrying fans and supporters of the environment in Georgia is the passing of the famous Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline from Borjomi . The potential leakage of this pipeline in the future could have caused a lot of environmental problems.

This city is located near Bakuriani and ski resort.
